I am running XenServer 5.5 update 2 and have run into a little problem. I have a 4 server pool and only the poolmaster is showing CPU and Memory Usage in the Search section of the XenCenter Console.

I tried running the command service ntpd restart from the CLI but the Poolmaster is still about 28 seconds ahead of the other 3 hosts.

From what I've read the time sync is critical here. Anyone have any ideas?

I see we have a XenDesktop Folder, but aren't most users engaged with XenApp? How many have migrated to XenApp6? Aren't there issues to be discussed here as well? For many XenApp 6 also requires Windows Server 2008 R2 which is an upgrade for a lot of people.

These two major changes bring enhanced complexity and a whole new way of doing business.

Andy from Citrix provided great input today on Citrix's 2011 Virtualization Strategy and how Citrix is leveraging cloud computing. Bayshore's own Jason Gathman, CCIA and Sr. Consultant did a phenomenal job discussing the 4 primary components (the device, the receiver, the gateway, and the farm) of smart mobile devices and their integration into Citrix.

We want to here from our current customers and potentially new customers on what they would like to see at the next CUG meeting, which will be in early April. We were provided with a few topics so far and hope that you will post more suggestions. Let's keep the conversation going and with members like Jason on our technical team, we can go as technical as the application layer or as deep as the kernel. We'll let our users decide.

Some suggested topics from the Tampa CUG meeting were:

1. Provisioning Server
2. WanScaler
3. ICA protocol- what's the true value and savings
4. Storage considerations around virtualizations solutions

Let's keep these great ideas going.
